Academic Coaching & Mentoring Service
Our scholarship recipients are required to attend two free general academic coaching, and mentoring sessions with HAEF. These sessions can be done via phone, e-mail or face to face, preferably one session per semester or quarter. Coaches/mentors are volunteers, staff, and board members who have extensive experience or hold a master's degree or higher in a related field that matches best with a student’s chosen field of study and career path.
The purpose of this program is to not only provide monetary support to scholarship recipients, but to also provide support in the form of advising, coaching, and mentoring, to ensure scholarship recipients are given the best chance to be successful and eventually graduate from their perspective institutions and goes on to have successful careers.
